We discovered that the key to a successful remote shoot is the pre-shoot communication. It take time to adapt to the broken rhythms of remote communication compared to face-to-face speaking, issues that are exacerbated when working across different languages. Its important to take time to build a rapport between the key parties, whether its producer, agency, client, DP or AD, and focus on selecting a crew with a good remote chemistry!
